CEA is pleased to present the 2008 Leadership Forum theme:  Current Research-State, National, & International.  This year’s Forum features a showcase of research trends in the field of correctional education.  The goal of our annual spring event is to start a discussion about the existing directions and results in correctional education research, and to initiate new directions for the future.

CEA welcomes submissions to the Leadership Forum!  If you are interested in sharing what is happening in your agency, please submit the following information in an email to the CEA office:

  • Applicant Name
  • Address and contact information
  • Title of current research project
  • Research objective
  • 250 word summary (maximum)
  • Source of funding (state, federal, private)
  • Presenter name(s) and title(s)

Proposal deadline is January 6, 2008.  Each presentation will be for no more than one hour.  CEA will provide attendees with a copy of all conference presentations and papers and for posting on the CEA homepage.  For more information or to submit your proposal, contact:

The Leadership Forum will be held at the brand-new Westin Annapolis Hotel, located at 49 Spa Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.  Room rates are $139 single and $164 double occupancy.  Reservations may be made by calling 800-937-8461 by Tuesday, February 5, 2008
