CEA Announces a NEW online course: 
Fundamentals of Effective Problem-Solving!

Fundamentals of Effective Problem-solving is designed to assist correctional educators, through the use of interactive exercises, in developing a working understanding of effective problem-solving methods.  These exercises develop specific skills applicable for use within correctional facility classrooms. 

The course is $532 and 3 semester hours of GRADUATE level credit are available through Ashland University, a fully accredited institution.  All the materials are contained in the online module.  Students may enroll at any time to get started!

The course was developed by Dr. Phillip Amerine is one of the country’s leading practitioners of design and creative problem-solving methodology.  His doctoral work was done at New York University with studies at Oxford University, M.I.T., and Trent Polytechnic Institute.  Dr. Amerine has over twenty-five years of experience in teacher training and professional development.  His work within correctional and alternative education includes both adults and juveniles with an emphasis on special needs students. Amerine is a published author and has written extensively on creative problem-solving and the learning process.
